My brother is in an identical situation; both of us have identical machines, upgraded from Windows 7 (where i Tunes worked) to Windows 10, did a system refresh, and encountered this problem. Solution here: i Tunes install error on Windows 10 - - Microsoft Community I had the same problem after resetting my laptop. I have Windows 10 10240 RTM x64 Bit version running on my system, (Now running 32 bit version.) The issue is that windows 10 Updates fails to install. For some reason; itunes keeps giving me the message "itunes can not sync your phone because you do not have enough access privileges" or something to that extent.
Installing either version 11 or 10.7 do not throw either of these errors, however upon launch, it said it was not installed properly and would need to be reinstalled. 26066 34341 sfc /scannow and those things never worked for me in any windows... And the odd thing is for some reason it just started happening today. Today i have tried installing windows 10 through the application and it always gets to the install part then says there was a problem windows 10 installation failed.
I have also tried running it with Windows 7 compatibility checked, same result.
This is the first error: The installation continues for a little bit, then it throws this error: At this point the installation fails. Because a lot of times the errors that occur in i Tunes could be as a result of hardware errors, Apple recommends the following solutions.
Ensure that the you have the latest version of i Tunes installed on your computer.
Sometimes the i Tunes error 11 can interfere with the restore process, meaning you are unable to restore the device and hence can't fix your original problem.
In this article we are going to take a critical look at the i Tunes error 11 and even provide you with a few solutions that can help.
I am running this as Administrator from a User account.
I ditched i Tunes 12 and all its supporting programs/files and took the decision to re-install i Tunes 11 as that had worked flawlessly on my PC for some time.
Of course as you may have guessed, the problem is still there with i Tunes 11 now and I am reaching out to the community (and Apple - who MUST own this and provide a fix) to provide a solution that WORKS and does not involve the multiple de-install/re-installs that I have done over the last few days - as well as PC virus/registry/malware/command level scans and countless reboots...of which work.
Here's hoping that someone has a solution that works (please and thank you)https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3720969 for example. I didn't think it was needed (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4640070 )Bob Bob, Thanks for your response and most especially some of the embedded links...which contained only one thing I had not seen before and that was to load ccleaner and run.
With all the malware out there I can never be sure of Windows integrity and with the aging machines odd things happen. I dont know if this was the defining factor but I now have a shiny new version of i Tunes 12 on my PC and all the other bits (connectivity etc) seem to be working as well. Uninstall all the i Tunes and Apple bits in the proscribed order (i Tunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support) 2.
